Park City Trip -Day Two
We are lucky enough to be in Park City for the week. My father-in-law is so good about sharing and he's letting us use his week at the condo. We are even luckier because it snowed (kind of). Here are some shots of us at the pool. Where we are staying has an indoor/outdoor pool. Brandon was brave enough to go to the outdoor side while Hayden stayed inside with Jake and I. Once again poor Jake was sidelined in his stroller with me, but he seemed to enjoy himself.

Gotta Get in Some Park Time
The weather is due to turn ugly this weekend so the boys and I have been working hard at getting in all the time we can at the park.

As you can see, Jake has a much different experience at the park than Hayden does. Jake enjoys eating his stroller and trying to see while blinking furiously at the wind. Hayden keeps his bike helmet on at the park, making me look like I'm a weird overprotective mom. We love the park in our neighborhood and we will be sad to not be able to play on it. No one will me more upset than mom (we are still off track).Six Month Appointment

Jake is getting old! He had his six month appointment today. Poor thing had three shots but he handled it very well. He weighs 15 pounds and 14 ounces, which is the 50Th percentile and is 28 inches long (95Th percentile). He still eats about every two hours during the day, but I guess that's just the way he is. He amazed the doctor with his tooth and (almost) crawling skills. He's getting better at sitting up now. He can sit there for a few minutes playing with toys, but if he falls over he can't get himself back up. I think he'll be much happier when he can. He thinks laying down is for suckers.

Life As We Know it is Almost Over
Jake has almost got crawling down now. First the tooth, then the scoot. Hayden and I need to work out the Lego situation pretty soon. I have managed to forget a lot about infants between Hayden and now, but one thing I do know is Lego's+Baby=Bad. I have been looking around my house lately and I am trying to figure out how he's going to make it to three years old. I've got one big fat baby danger house. Wish me luck baby proofing. I'm going to need it.

Off Track

We are on day three of being off track here at our house. Hayden has had to find many different ways to keep himself busy. One way has been to play with his brother. The first picture is Hayden having Jake pick out things to buy at his store. Jake liked the hot dogs and chicken. I think he may have eaten most of the food before he paid for it. While I was on the phone earlier today, Hayden decided to mix some of his favorite cereals. He was kind enough to label them though. It's hard to see but that last picture says "Trix" on that small label. He has also spent a lot of time in my basement. The basement is unfinished and full of stuff ( I use the word stuff when there is another four letter "s" word that would be more appropriate). The stuff has been banished to the basement for a reason but it's slowly making its way back upstairs. Now the main level of my house is full of stuff. I am waiting anxiously for the 20Th of October when he makes his way back to first grade.
