Top Teeth!
Can you see them? Jake's top teeth? He's got three up there now and I'm not looking forward to when number four shows up. Oh and he's eating the best thing ever in this shot. I read about it somewhere on the internet. You crush up cheerios or graham crackers in a baggie and toss in some cut up fruit and shake. Ta da! No more slippery bananas!Muffins

Drums!
Other than the occasional "Da Da"s (and possibly a "Daddy")that I heard in there, I wish I could understand what he was saying in this video. He seems very passionate about it, whatever it was. He just really, really likes hitting things I guess. He's been watching mommy play drums for almost a month now. For Christmas, we got "Rock Band" for our Wii. It has been our fun evening activity ever since. I think Jake is going to want to join the "band" soon. I guess I'll have to learn to play bass since Brandon is our lead guitarist and Hayden sings. At the end of the video you can hear Hayden talking about buying a "Rock On" poster. He saw it on his online game to buy for his character's room. He said he was going to buy it for us since we are in a band. Isn't that funny?

My Boys Make Every Birthday Better
I asked Brandon to let Hayden pick out my birthday gift this year. I wanted to see what he'd get me. Guess what the cutie bought for me......... a new hairdryer. Isn't that cute? He got one with a turbo button so I could get done faster. He showed me all the features and attachments. It's one of the best gifts I've ever received. Thank you Hayden! And thanks Brandon for the trip and movies and room service. And a huge thanks to Jake who decided a week ago to start napping again. I'm so lucky to have such sweet boys. Can't wait until my next birthday!Monday, January 12, 2009

Jake's Nine Month Appointment
Jake is getting old! He's already nine months. He is working on getting his two top front teeth, trying to figure out how to get around the chair blocking the stairs and he has started feeding the dog cheerios and puffs. His life is very busy. He weighs 16 pounds 14 ounces and is 29 inches tall. We have been able to put him in high chairs at restaurants instead of just his car seat. That makes him quite happy. Only another few months until he's a year old. I'm sure he'll be driving by then.Friday, January 2, 2009
So Much to Love
(I was giggling, so the camera is a little shaky)
My husband is great man. He has many great talents and we love him. One thing the man cannot do is sing. Oh he really can't sing. He can't sing like I can't fix computers. Another awesome thing about him is that he has no shame. None. At all. It is very endearing though. This Christmas, Brandon gave me the best gift I've ever had. The gift of tune-less song. Let me set the stage here. We got Rock Band for Christmas. Brandon is usually on guitar, Hayden singing (more on that later), and me on drums. When everyone was over for the holiday we had a great time playing and taking turns. I'm not sure who passed the mic to my husband. The best part of this video is his swaying and the straight faces Jen and Ron manage to keep. Enjoy.........
