Things That Bother Me

I was going to call this posting "Things I Hate" but I thought it might be a tad too strong. I think it's a combo of the Christmas season starting at work and the lack of sleep I've been getting lately that is making me easily agitated. So here is my list of the things that are bothering me lately.
  1. Rivers Cuomo's mustache
  2. The magic of Oxy Clean working its magic on all the dirty clothes in the house but mine.
  3. My cell phone being way too technologically advanced for me
  4. My universal remote being way too technologically advanced for me
  5. My seven year old being way too technologically advanced for me.
  6. Never being able to find even one of my many, many lip glosses
  7. "Head-On" commercials
  8. Grout
  9. The weird yogurt spit/burp that lands on your hand or shirt when you open a Yoplait
  10. Mondays

I feel a bit better now. Maybe one day I'll write a list of things I enjoy......but don't hold your breath.

The Halloween Saga Continues........

Tonight was Hayden's Halloween program. The songs were so cute. His teachers did such a good job. It was so much fun to have Emily with us tonight too. She was a big help and a great audience. Hayden actually sang tonight! We loved it. Jake decided to show off his sock monkey costume since we aren't' sure if he's going out with us tomorrow night. I wanted him to wear it at least once. Only one more Halloween celebration to go and then we're off to Thanksgiving! (or week three of Christmas if you work retail like me-our decorated Christmas trees have been up for a couple of weeks already)

Ghosts of Halloween Past

We really like Halloween. As you can see, in these first two shots, poor baby Hayden was on the receiving end of our Halloween love. I staged this whole photo shoot with him.

This second shot scares Brandon quite a bit. Looking back on it now it does seem really, really weird. It made perfect sense at the time. In all fairness though, he was only a few weeks old and I was a little nutty back then.

This picture is of Hayden's second Halloween. We took him to Brandon's work to trick or treat. That bat costume is one of my all time favorites.

I'm not sure what he was for his third Halloween-frog? Lizard? It was cute though, even if he did obviously hate it.

I think this was the only time Brandon and I dressed up for poor Hayden. We loved decorating our old house for Halloween. I've been missing it lately. This house isn't as easy to decorate. Brandon's Grim Reaper is supposed to be killing me in this shot, but I can't stop laughing.
The infamous mac and cheese costume! My one attempt at creating one on my own. I did forget that it's cold on Halloween so his coat is a little out of place, but I did my best to make his hat fit in by hot gluing a piece of macaroni to it.

Darth Hayder. Need I say more?

Halloween Carnival

Last night was the second annual Halloween carnival at Hayden's school. They aren't allowed to dress up at school on the day of Halloween but they can dress up for the carnival. Hayden is Jango Fett from Star Wars and the baby is wearing his "Hair-Wolf" costume. In this first shot, the baby has angered Jango and must pay.

Here is Hayden at the carnival wearing one of his prizes. It really was a lot of fun this year. A magician came and performed for the kids every hour in the library. Hayden sat on the floor in the front while baby, Brandon and I stood the back. Hayden had a blast. At one point he turned around to me laughing and screamed, "I just love this!"

Here is my little "Hair-wolf". Thanks to Jen for finding this outfit. It is ridiculously appropriate.

Hayden of the Corn

Hayden would have been the happiest boy alive if he could have figured out how to turn that tractor on at the pumpkin patch yesterday. I didn't let him sit on it long enough to figure it out or he might have..............

Thank You Grandaddy!

Thanks for our trip to Park City! We had so much fun on our vacation.
(we want one of these heated benches in our yard)
